Could the medicinal plants be grown in North America?

"It is theoretically possible to grow these medicinal plants outside of the Amazon and Andes regions although we are unsure if they would still maintain their potent properties. However, we believe any attempt to do so would be unethical as it would not allow the indigenous peoples to benefit from their own culture and heritage."
